Mariachi Relámpago's sister group is Margaritas de Tejas. Austin's all - female mariachi.

Margaritas de Tejas is comprised of females from Austin and Kyle. Some of the members are students of the Lehman High School Mariachi program. Other members are veteran females who have returned to playing mariachi. As a full size mariachi, they entertain audiences with their beautiful solo voices and harmonies. They debuted in July of 2008 and were formed by Adolph Ortiz.
